How I had never done a session at the Harkness Memorial Park before Beth and Rob’s engagement session is beyond me, but boy am I glad my first time was with these two beautiful humans!

Before I go on to tell you more about how fun this session was, let me tell you about this location. IT. IS. A. DREAM!

This location is literally a photographer’s dream. It has a gorgeous historical mansion, stunning botanical gardens, and one of the prettiest beaches I’ve seen in our area. I am so glad Beth and Rob went with my suggestion and decided to make Harkness Memorial Park the location for their engagement session.

About this session… ahhhhh… it was also any photographer’s dream. In the wedding photography world, we refer to couples like Beth and Rob as “ideal clients”. Why? Because it’s so easy to love them! They are fun, engaging, loving, up for anything but most of all… kind!

We spent 90 minutes chatting about wedding plans (I can’t wait for their October!!!), and their love for the outdoors, but then Rob’s eyes lit up when I asked about the proposal. He proposed last year while visiting the Dominican Republic. He shared the story about how he planned it with his friends (Beth had no idea this was happening) and he showed me the amazing photos his friends took of his proposal at the pier. It was easy to see how much love they have for each other and how excited they are to spend the rest of their lives together.

Creating these amazing images for Beth and Rob was literally a walk at the beach. Beth’s contagious laugh got us all laughing and her gorgeous smile got us all swooning. And Rob? He was the sweetest guy ever. I really, really love when guys genuinely love the experience of getting their photos taken and Rob was a star.

Beth and Rob: thank you for making my job so easy 🙂 You two are a joy, and I cannot wait for your October wedding!
