One thing I adore about Fall sessions is combining gorgeous golden hour light, fall outfits and beautiful couples – and Danielle and Elijah had all three in their Goddard State Park couple’s session!

I met Danielle in October 2021 when she was a bridesmaid at her brother’s wedding which I photographed – and Elijah was a guest too. When Danielle reached out for her own session, I literally did a happy dance – as a photographer, getting family and friends of past wedding couples to contact me and hire me is such a validation and honor. Danielle and Elijah are going through such an important milestone in their lives that they wanted to capture this moment – including their beautiful pup Loki!

Danielle and Elijah live in Massachusetts, but Rhode Island is so close to Danielle’s heart that she knew she wanted her session here. Goddard State Park is such an amazing location because we can get the park and the beach vibe within a few steps of each other.

Let me tell you, I am usually pretty lucky with dogs. I’ve mastered the art of silly voices to get their attention, but Loki was next level. She was so obedient and sweet, that even when we tied her up to allow her mom and dad to get some sweet portraits of them alone, she just laid there observing – except towards the end when I was holding her while taking photos (multitasking to the max) and she ran towards them, pulling me in but also giving us some super cute and playful photos of them.

I truly loved this session so much. Elijah said this was his first professional photo shoot, but I find that hard to believe – he was a natural and by the end of the session he knew exactly what to do! I think he’s ready for wedding photos 🙂
