Lyman Estate Wedding | Jess and Dean

filed in

From high school sweethearts to husband and wife, Jess and Dean did what a lot of people only dream of: build a life together full of adventures, growth, and love that arrived to an amazing fall wedding day at Lyman Estate in Waltham, MA.

Never have I ever seen a ceremony so meaningful for everyone present. The officiant told the story of how Jess and Dean had met at a school field trip to Hershey Park at just 14 years old, and with humor, candor, and lots of fun facts, we all learned all the things these two have done in the almost 12 years they have been together: their many moves to different cities and towns in MA and RI (which they used as the table names!), their long-distance relationship through college, the support for each other during grad school, the trips and adventures, the story of their proposal, and their love for their cat Eleanore.

It was incredibly sweet to hear Jess tell how much she loved Dean at all stages of his life – from a forgetful teenager to a talented chef, to a driven attorney that is making a mark in this world. It was even sweeter to hear Dean praise all the things that make him love her more and more each day, and I, as their photographer, got to witness his devotion to her when I saw his tears during the first look. Dean could not contain himself, and it was such a touching moment that they both enjoyed alone before their day went by in a blink.

Lyman Estate hosted the family and friends that came to celebrate the pinnacle of their relationship. Jess, a crafter by trade besides being an incredible advocate for the unprivileged, designed a lot of the personal touches that decorated the space, and her father created the succulent centerpieces that adorned their tables. Jess and Dean wanted to have the best time at their wedding, and they put Lucky 13 in charge of their entertainment. This band knows how to keep guests on the dance floor! It truly was a beautiful day for the most beautiful couple.

Jess and Dean: you know how special you both are to me. You believed in me when I started my photography career when we did your #notengagementsession a few years ago at the high school where you met for me to practice my photo skills. This will always mean so much to me. It was such an honor to be the one chosen to photograph your wedding and to capture all the sweet and kind love you two share. Jess, I loved being there with you every minute of the day and seeing how special your besties are! I wish you both all the happiness in the world! Love you both!
