Ocean Cliff Wedding | Kailyn + Frank

filed in

Kailyn and Frank’s wedding at the Ocean Cliff in Newport had all the elements of a perfect day: the happiest couple, the funniest bridal party and the best family and friends newlyweds can ask for!

Ever since I met Kailyn and Frank at Frank’s surprise proposal last year, I’ve been looking forward to their wedding day. These two are pure joy, and their happiness spread throughout their day!

The Ocean Cliff’s pergola was the setting for one of the most emotional reactions I’ve seen in a groom when seeing his bride for the first time in her wedding gown. Frank couldn’t contain his tears seeing Kailyn walking down the aisle, and we all let out a collective “aww”. Not one single cloud in the sky, this day couldn’t have been more perfect for them! Sailboats decorated the background while exchanging their “I do’s”, and at that moment none of us knew what was in store for the reception.

Let me tell you more about that reception… Kailyn and Frank stepped away from the traditional introduction customs because they dared their wedding party to compete for the “best entrance” for a cash prize. Kailyn and Frank wanted to be introduced first as Mr. and Mrs. Reale so they too could enjoy the show.

Jessica, Frank’s sister, rode in a tiny little electric Mercedes shooting $100 bills – fake, but the “realest” (not a word, but I had to use that pun) fakes I’ve ever seen!- from a money gun. Gianni, Kailyn’s brother, and his girlfriend Sam entered using a Jurassic World theme. Isabella, one of the Maid of Honor, and Joe, the best man, wore traditional Italian costumes and came in dancing to Italian music, throwing flowers and candy at the crowd. Vanessa, Michaela, Haley, Paul, Jacob, Terrick, Jared, and Marty showed their best dance moves (including some interesting cartwheels!), and Kailyn and Frank – and all of us for that matter, were in tears.

The rest of the day was simply amazing. The dance floor being packed at all times, Frank passing fireball shots while wearing a beer vest which made him even more popular with the crowd, and the looks between Kailyn and Frank that said “we did it, baby”, were just some of the highlights of the day.

As if the day had not been incredible enough, their celebration ended with a beautiful sunset cruise aboard the Aurora, the famous “red sails” sailboat in Newport. Beer, wine, and charcuterie boards delighted their closest family and friends during this two-hour sailing that was perfect to unwind after such a whirlwind day of emotions.

Kailyn and Frank: I wish you both all the happiness you deserve! I hope you always look at each other the way you did on your wedding day, and that you continue to be the fun, amazing, sweet couple that you are. Love you!
