Larz Anderson Park – Intimate Brookline Wedding

filed in

When planning a May wedding I’m sure we all think “Spring”, but New England weather had planned the most gorgeous summer day for Erica & Igor’s intimate Brookline wedding at Larz Anderson Park.

Erica lived in Spain for some time, and she fell in love with their food, their culture and rich history. So much, that every detail of their wedding day – from the flower decorations from Farmgirl Flowers, to the Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar favors from Cape Ann Olive Oil, to the drinks, food and even their wedding cake from Antoine’s Pastry Shop, were all Spanish inspired.

The hot sun and warm breeze were absolutely perfect for their intimate Brookline wedding. Erica and Igor exchanged the sweetest, funniest vows in front of their parents, Erica’s brother and his fiancee, and two of their closest friends. But don’t be fooled by the small crowd… they made the space feel full! Full of laughter, of love, of care and admiration for this beautiful couple.

Their Spanish inspired wedding, which included a stunning and colorful wedding dress paired with a gorgeous hair designed by Eve Michael Salon, and their own mixed Spanish sangria to seal their wedding toast, was unique, relaxed and so much fun, but what made it extra special for me was to be part of the small group of people that Erica and Igor chose to make this happen, and I couldn’t be more honored to be there with them.

Their wedding celebration continued at Estragon Tapas bar, one of their favorite restaurants in Boston. This eclectic, chic location in the south end of Boston hosted their guests with an incredible array of fantastic food and Spanish wines. The group of friends and family who attended this celebration, including Igor’s parents all the way from Croatia, were delighted by plates after plates of empanadas, spicy potatoes, garlic shrimp, creamy fish and so much more amazingly tasty food that filled our tables until our bellies were happy. We learned about Erica and Igor’s love story, which started nine years ago, their adventures and the love they share through a beautiful and hilarious toast to them in the form of a clever poem by Erica’s mother, Sue.

Erica and Igor: I loved you both since our first zoom meeting, and I am so happy that your day was as beautiful and as special as you planned it. I wish you love, happiness and all the jamon serrano your hearts desire! 🙂 Have a blast in Spain!

XO,

Gloria.
