Amazing Backyard Wedding | Erin + Ryan

filed in

One thing we all have learned to do these past few months is to pivot, and Erin and Ryan mastered this art by hosting the most amazing backyard wedding I have seen! They had originally booked an indoor venue for their Fall wedding, but they decided to protect their guests and families by moving it to Erin’s parents’ home.

Let me tell you… they made it look like an authentic wedding venue! A ceremony area decorated with rustic elements that shone under the afternoon light, a cocktail hour area with live entertainment from Eastern Standard Duo, delicious hors d’oeuvres and drinks from Emery’s catering, and an immense tent full of light, music, greenery, and to the guests’ delight, an open bar! Kathy, Erin’s mom, and Erin did an incredible job with all the details and beautiful touches that made this wedding a sight to see.

Erin looked absolutely stunning! Her makeup artist, Nicole Ruggeri, and her hairstylist, Jackie Bernardo, did a fabulous job getting her ready for the day, but it was her joy that made her glow. She was marrying her best friend, and she couldn’t wait to start their life together.

We all felt the love and excitement the entire day, but one of my favorite moments was when Erin and Ryan read the letters they wrote to each other as a prelude to their first look. That private, tender moment was absolutely beautiful! I love when couples choose to do something different and meaningful to show their love for each other on their wedding day, and this is definitely something they will remember forever.

This amazing backyard wedding was tastefully decorated with florals from Mother Nature’s Florist, but the mini-succulents were a crowd favorite! These tiny tin cups directed the guest to their tables where an incredible dinner was served before the dance floor was opened for the fun celebration they all had! The newlyweds opted to close the celebration with a display of milk, hot chocolate, and cookies that was devoured in minutes… what a clever choice for dessert!

The gorgeous weather that day gave way to a clear sky, and I knew I could not leave the event without capturing one last kiss under the starry night!

Erin and Ryan: you two were incredible. Thank you for adding me to the team of people that made your day a complete perfection. I loved documenting your special day and I hope that when you look back at your wedding photos year after year, you feel the same emotions you did that day. Your wedding was an amazing celebration and I felt honored being there cheering for you, too!
