I still smile from ear to ear when I look at Kailyn and Frank’s surprise proposal at Beavertail State Park in Jamestown, RI, and the plot that was put together by her family was absolutely perfect!

Pat, Kailyn’s mom, contacted me a few months ago when her soon-to-be son-in-law asked for her help to surprise Kailyn with a ring. Kailyn and Frank live in New York but with her family living here in Rhode Island, and them visiting for the 4th of July break, Frank knew this was the perfect opportunity to ask her to marry him.

They all made Kailyn believe they had hired a photographer to do family photos. The whole family – mom, dad, brother, and brother’s girlfriend came ready to Beavertail State Park in Jamestown for “their session”, and unbeknownst to Kailyn, Pat and I had already planned the cue for Frank to get in one knee. Guys… I can’t tell you how flipping excited I was. My heart was racing 100 mph, and when I saw Kailyn’s reaction, I could not stop smiling!!! It was truly epic. The whole family was cheering, laughing, hugging, and even strangers nearby joined in their excitement with “WoooHooos!” Frank’s family joined via facetime and everyone celebrated this special moment with this awesome couple!

Obviously, we made this into an engagement session, and Kailyn and Frank (and her whole family for that matter!) could not have been more fun. They were playful, loving, and excited for what’s to come. This is the type of session that gets me on Cloud 9 for a few days afterward. And of course, we also had to make it into a family session too since they all looked so sharp!

Kailyn, Frank, Pat, and the rest of the fam: thank you, guys! This was such an amazing experience for me, and I loved getting to know you all and share with you such a special moment. I seriously cannot wait to work with all of you again! Cheers to you all!
