Roger Williams Park Family Session | The Souza Family

filed in

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of doing family sessions at Roger Williams Park. It’s one of those places that offers the perfect scenery for any purpose, and it always looks amazing. Tracie and I have been planning their family session since last fall, but then winter hit us quickly, the temperatures dropped fast and we decided to wait until the spring.

Having a busy life -between jobs, children, after-school activities, and everything in between, finding a time that works for everyone may be a challenge… and then, there’s the weather! But we are all so lucky that New England weather changes by the minute and we were finally able to get together during a perfect spring day to have their family session!

Tracie was reflecting about the last time they got professional photos taken, and it had been over ten years! I totally related to her. Before I became a professional photographer, I never had professional photos of my family (except for the occasional JC Penney studio photos) and sometimes it makes me sad that time flew by and all I had was cellphone photos of my children. I knew I wanted to be someone that could help families capture their love for each other and it brings me so much joy to know how much they love the experience and the results.

The whole family was excited and engaging during their session, everyone brought their A-game to make sure they all looked amazing, and we seriously had the best time. I loved seeing their sweet interactions with each other, and I laughed with them the whole time. Dylan brought his beautiful girlfriend Sabrina, and if you’ve seen my work you know I LOOOOOVE shooting couples. I had to show them a little bit of what an engagement session feels like 😀

And then….. I found out that Jaylen is a rising senior, so I knew I had to go the extra mile to give her a glimpse of a senior session, and she totally killed it! She’s a beautiful young lady and her confidence shone thru! Forty-five minutes was all we needed to get this momma portraits of her family that she will cherish forever!
