This Newport Engagement Session was the closing event of one of the busiest weekends I’ve had in a long time. After two back-to-back wedding days, I knew I needed this session. Stephany and I met during a virtual wedding consultation and after just 10 minutes of talking to her, I knew I loved her. The way she described her relationship with Chris made me even more excited about working with them.

Stephany and Chris are high school sweethearts, and their playful and loving nature speaks volumes of their love for each other! They were flirty, funny, and absolutely adorable!

I’m not gonna lie… I was given the heads up that Chris usually “doesn’t smile for pictures”. My response? I got you, girl. Chris’ comment that the session was not what he was expecting, and that it was actually really fun, made me smile from ear to ear. They are both ready and trained for their June 2022 wedding, and I cannot wait to be there to capture it all!

As an outdoorsy couple, they wanted photos that show their love for the ocean and the connection they shared. If you’ve been following my work, you know I am a Newport lover. It’s such an incredible city, that doing a Newport engagement session to match their style was a no-brainer!

The cobblestone path at Queen Ann square along with the downtown vibe were a perfect complement for these two, and even though we felt hurried by the imminent thunderstorm announced for 6 p.m., we still were able to walk around and enjoy the city while taking amazing portraits! We ended their session at the beach, where they let their inner child play in the chilly water while bystanders were swooning by looking at them, congratulating them on their engagement!

Stephany + Chris: I seriously cannot wait for your wedding day! You two are amazing people and spending time with you and getting to know you was an incredible way to end my weekend. Thank you for letting me capture your love! Oh… and good luck choosing your “Save the Date” photo 🙂
