I’ve been living in Rhode Island for 20 years now, and I’m still amazed by how many places I still don’t know about. When Leslie contacted me to do her family photos for Mother’s day, she knew she wanted to represent her hometown of Tiverton by going to The Boat House for an afternoon of fun.

Although it is a restaurant, The Boat House is also an incredibly popular photo location for those who know about it. Prom dates come here before their parties. Weddings are hosted here. And now I know family sessions happen here, too! I love adding new locations to my repertoire, and if this is not an iconic Rhode Island location – the waterfront coupled with the lush greenery, I don’t know what is 🙂

Leslie gathered her beautiful family, including her siblings Sonya and Lovell who were visiting from Florida and Georgia; and along with her husband Dan and her beautiful children Iris and Tristen, we spent an hour of laughter, hugs, and love while capturing these great memories that now decorate the walls of their home! She wanted this as a Mother’s Day gift, and that she received. But getting her amazing reaction to seeing her family in these portraits was my Mother’s day gift!

Leslie, thank you for introducing me to your town! Tiverton, you have my heart.
