From Senior Portraits to “I Do”: Tony & Jenna’s Greek Orthodox Wedding Celebration

filed in

Every wedding is special, but every once in a while, there is one that reminds me exactly why I love what I do.

Five years ago, I met Tony as a high school senior. Back then, neither of us could have imagined that one day I would be standing in a beautiful church watching him marry the love of his life. Yet here we are.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing so many milestones for the people I serve, but Tony and Jenna’s wedding felt different. It felt like watching a story come full circle.

Their journey to this day wasn’t always easy. For the past three years, Tony and Jenna navigated the challenges of a long-distance relationship while Tony serves our country in the United States Marine Corps. As a third-generation Marine, service has always been deeply woven into who he is, and their relationship was built on sacrifice, commitment, and the kind of unwavering trust that allows love to thrive across miles and time zones.

If you’ve ever met them, you know that their connection is effortless. The way Tony looks at Jenna, the way she lights up around him, and the way they support each other leaves no doubt that they are exactly where they are meant to be.

Their wedding day began at the beautiful Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, where family and friends gathered from near and far to celebrate the start of their next chapter. The day carried an especially meaningful connection to Jenna’s Greek heritage, and the traditions woven throughout the ceremony created an atmosphere that felt both sacred and deeply personal.

One of my favorite parts of the day was witnessing just how far people traveled to be there. Family came from all corners of the country, and perhaps no journey was more impressive than Tony’s grandfather’s. He drove an incredible 43 hours from Mexico to attend his grandson’s wedding. That kind of dedication speaks volumes about the love surrounding this couple.

And there was certainly no shortage of emotion.

For Jenna’s family, the day represented more than watching their daughter become a wife. In just a few short weeks, she will be packing up her life and moving to Arizona to join Tony and to begin their married life together. The excitement of this new adventure was beautifully intertwined with the bittersweet reality that their little girl was about to start a life far away from home.

Throughout the day, happy tears flowed freely.

As I watched parents, grandparents, siblings, family and friends embrace the newlyweds, it was obvious that these two were surrounded by an extraordinary amount of love. Every part of their celebration reflected what matters most to Tony and Jenna: faith, family, commitment, and the people who have supported them every step of the way.

As they prepare to begin this new chapter together in Arizona, I know one thing for certain: if the strength of their relationship and the love surrounding them are any indication, they have an incredible future ahead.

Tony and Jenna, thank you for trusting me to document so many of the milestones that brought you here. From senior portraits to a surprise proposal, engagement photos, and now your wedding day, it has been one of the greatest honors of my career to watch your story unfold.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Marcucci. I can’t wait to see where life takes you next.
