Last August I visited the Mount Washington Hotel for the first time and I asked the universe to allow me to shoot a wedding there. I know this was not a wedding, but the universe responded by letting me shoot my nephew’s engagement session in this epic location!
Katrina & Jack are engaged. Like how is it possible that this sweet little boy who I met when he was 10-years-old, is now engaged to be married to one of the sweetest girls ever?
These two amazing humans got engaged at Disney last month in front of their families. Jack carefully planned this proposal and surprised Katrina in front of the Magic Kingdom’s castle (is he dreamy, or what?) After dating for 3 years, Katrina knew she was ready to marry him!
When Jack told me they wanted their engagement session at the Mount Washington Hotel, I think I screamed a little over the phone. They invited us this past weekend to Katrina’s family’s condo in Mount Washington for a mini winter getaway, and not only did we have an amazing time getting to know the Grabeau’s better, laughing until our cheeks hurt, and getting Josh’s love for skiing reignited, but we had the most beautiful (and cold!) winter day for their Mount Washington Hotel engagement session!
Katrina and Jack met during their freshman year in college at Franklin Pierce University, but they did not date until their junior year! When all of us met Katrina and her family for the first time, we knew this was it. We knew he belonged with them. In fact, Jack is now a Newhampshirer (is that even a word?) as he moved there last month to start a new career and began planning a wedding and a future with his beautiful fiancee.
Katrina and Jack: you have no idea what this session means to me. As the first one of “our kids” to get married, it was a dream come true to not only be able to do it at a place that was on my bucket list but also to give me an insider view of the love you have for each other. I cannot wait to be there, camera ready, when you both say I DO! Love you guys!
