Laura and Mark’s spring wedding day at the Barn at Blackstone National in Sutton, MA, was the kind that stays with you—the kind that leaves your cheeks sore from smiling and your heart feeling full long after you pack up your gear. I had the honor of capturing their beautiful celebration last Friday, and I’m still riding the high of it all.

Despite it being early June in New England (which for us locals could mean anything weather-wise), we were gifted with an unusually warm and sunny day. Just a week prior, it felt like winter was still clinging on—but on this day, the skies cleared, the rain held off, and we got to enjoy an unplugged outdoor ceremony exactly as planned.

The setting was nothing short of stunning. The grounds at the Barn at Blackstone National are a photographer’s dream… rolling greens, white fences, and a bright birchwood arbor adorned with florals that looked like they had bloomed just for Laura and Mark.

The reception took place inside the beautifully decorated barn, a space that blended rustic charm with elegant touches. Every table, floral arrangement, and place setting reflected Laura’s thoughtful vision. One of the most touching moments of the day was the private “room reveal” arranged by the venue’s incredible event director. It was a quiet, emotional pause where Laura got to see the reception space in all its glory before anyone else arrived. After months of careful planning, she walked through the room soaking in every detail, letting the magnitude of the moment settle in before the joyful whirlwind of the evening began.

Mark’s two children, Olivia and Ben, were part of the wedding party, with Ben taking on the role of best man and doing an amazing job at it. The ceremony, officiated by Mark’s friend Jimmy, was equal parts heartfelt and hilarious. Jimmy had the entire crowd laughing out loud with his witty remarks and personal touches, making it feel incredibly intimate and memorable.

From the ceremony, we moved into an evening filled with energy, love, and nonstop dancing. Laura and Mark kicked things off with a showstopping first dance to Chris Stapleton’s “Joy of My Life”—complete with choreographed moves, dips, and lifts that left everyone cheering. The DJ from Make a Mark’s kept the dance floor alive all night, reading the crowd perfectly and keeping the celebration going strong.

As the sun set over the hills, Laura and Mark danced the night away, completely immersed in the joy of the moment. Their excitement and happiness radiated through every hug, toast, and twirl on the dance floor—and it shows in every single photo.
