Every wedding to me is very special, but when it’s your personal friends who are tying the knot and you get to capture every minute of their amazing day, well… that’s the cherry on top.
My dear Katie and Brian had the most amazing wedding celebration accompanied by their closest family and friends. Some traveled as far from Arizona to come and witness one of the most beautiful ceremonies I’ve seen. Katie and Brian are members of the Greek Orthodox church in Worcester, MA, and this stunning church full of hand paintings, stained glass, and an elaborated altar was the stage for their celebration of love.
I met Katie and Brian through my husband Josh. Brian and Josh have been co-workers and friends for a number of years, and he has witnessed Katie and Brian’s love from day one. They truly have an amazing love story, and the pandemic brought them closer when the world was in lockdown and they found all the time in the world to grow their love for each other.
Their first look at the Worcester Common was such a sweet moment! Katie had been looking forward to this day since Brian popped the question, and she carefully planned every single detail with the help of her wedding planner, Stefanie Silva, and her fabulous team. But… her wedding dress was the most thought-out detail and none of us could wait for Brian to see it on her! His reaction was just so so sweet. And then… her first look with her dad. Those always get me!
Their celebration continued at the AC Hotel in Worcester where guests enjoyed a fun cocktail hour that included backyard-style games, delicious Mediterranean hors d’oeuvre, and an open bar. Katie and Brian surprised us all with a choreographed first dance that was absolutely flawless! Their DJ, Gino (one of the best I’ve heard, by the way) kept the guest on the dance floor all night long, including me and my husband!
Katie and Brian: thank you for letting me be part of your day not only as your photographer but as your friend. You both deserve all the happiness you are feeling right now and I hope that when you look at these photos, you are brought back to the best day of your lives. I love you both!
